You are invited to attend the inaugural Wunya (Welcome) Baby & Child to Country Ceremony, that is being hosted by Koobara Kindergarten in partnership with Kurbingui Youth & Family Development.
The Wunya (Welcome) Baby & Child to Country Ceremony is part of the First 2000 Days project in the Zillmere, Taigum, Fitzgibbon, Geebung, Wavell/Wavell Heights, Bridgeman Downs, Bald Hills, Brighton, Deagon, Boondall, Banyo, Virginia, Aspley, Chermside/Chermside West, Stafford, Carseldine, Bracken Ridge, Sandgate, Shorncliffe, Nudge, Kedron & Northgate areas. Up to 20 Babies and 50 Children are invited to be welcomed onto Turrbal Country by Traditional Custodians.
The Wunya (Welcome) Baby & Child to Country Ceremony is a FREE event that will include entertainment and fun activities. The Wunya (Welcome) Baby and Child to Country Ceremony will provide an opportunity for families to spend time together in a culturally safe environment.
